Obituary:
"Final rites for Mrs. Mary Schoos were conducted by the Rev. Fr. Andrew at the Heindl Funeral home Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 8:30 a.m. and at the St. Patricks Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment was made in St. Patrick's cemetery.
Mrs. Schoos, 71, one of Phillip' pioneer residents, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mercedes, in Milwaukee, Saturday, Dec. 24, at 6:25 a.m., following an illness of several weeks. Born in Tiplitz, Austria, on Jan. 13, 1877, she came to the United States in 1880 and moved to Phillips in 1883. She was married to Maurice Schoos in Phillips, Sept. 7, 1897. Mrs. Schoos had lived in Phillips 66 years up to the time of her passing and during that time made many friends here. She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Altar Society of St. Patrick's church.
She is survived by her husband Maurice Schoos, and nine children, (Mercedes) Mrs. Louis L. Ott, (Isabelle) Mrs. Frank Jaffke, and Maurice Schoos, all of Milwaukee; (Agatha) Sister M. Pancatia, O.P., Sinsinawa; (Mildred) Mrs. Joe E. Corbett, Redwood Falls, Minn., (Frances ) Mrs. Joseph F. Fink, Phillips; (Marie) Mrs. Joe Bartholomew, San Diego, Calif.; and Capt. Robert B. Schoos, Fort Sill, Okla.
Also Surviving are one sister, Mrs. J. B. VanHouten, Milwaukee; and one brother, Gustav Habel, Jr., Battleground, Wash. There are also 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Attending the funeral from away were the children, their wives, and husbands, Mr. and Mrs. John Repinski, Milwaukee; Sister M. Narrice, Sinsinawa, Wis.; Mrs. Robert Hawley, Minneapolis; Joe Seif and Mrs. Howard Sievert, Hortonville; Al Wuryts, Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cottrell, New London."

Correction:
"Due to an error in this office last week, the name of (Cecelia) Mrs. Al Brandl, Milwaukee, Wis., a surviving daughter of Mrs. Maurice Schoos, was ommitted from the obituary."
